This training is an immersion into the energetic, theoretical, spiritual, and practical foundations of sound healing. What You'll Learn in Level 1
Over two immersive days in NYC, you'll explore:
The history of sound healing and how sound has been used across ancient cultures for healing and transformation
The science behind sound and frequency — how vibration moves through the body and affects the nervous system
Hertz frequencies and brainwave states — how specific frequencies shift the brain from beta into alpha, theta, and delta states, supporting deep relaxation and healing
How to play Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls with confidence, sensitivity, and intuition
How to tune into the unique alchemies of each bowl and your own energetic frequency
Music theory foundations and harmonic exploration
Foundations of the energy centers ( Chakra and endocrine system) in relationship to sound and music theory
But beyond the techniques, something much deeper happens. As we work with sound and frequency for two full days, many people experience a profound energetic shift — releasing what no longer serves and attuning to a higher frequency of being.

Upon completion of your in-person training at Alchemy Sound Studio NYC, you will receive a 20-hour Sound Healing Practitioner Certificate. To earn your certificate, you must complete 4 practicum hours:
Sound Bath Observations (2 hours) — observe two sound baths in person or virtually, reflecting on how sound affected your body, mind, and the flow of the session
Sound Bath Experience (1 hour) — attend one sound bath as a participant, focusing on deep listening and journaling about how sound influences your state of being
Personal Bowl Exploration (1 hour) — dedicated practice time with the bowls. If you don't have bowls at home, you may schedule 1:1 studio time with Nicole to practice hands-on
As a graduate, you'll also receive an ongoing 5% discount on all Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls in our NYC studio shop.

No — you do not need to own crystal singing bowls to participate. High-quality Crystal Tones® Alchemy Bowls are provided in the studio for all in-person training sessions in NYC. If you're ready to find your bowl, Nicole offers a personal 1:1 Bowl Consultation included with every training to help you discover your perfect match.

Nicole Rutsch is the co-founder of Alchemy Sound Studio NYC and a certified Holy Fire® Karuna Reiki® Master. Her journey with sound healing began through a deeply personal path of transformation — after navigating significant health challenges, she discovered the resonant frequencies of Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls as a gateway to healing, presence, and inner alignment.
With a background in Reiki and energy healing, Nicole has guided over 50 sound training weekends and hundreds of sound baths. She brings warmth, depth, and an intuitive understanding of each student's unique journey.
